We are a Real Estate Appraisal and Consulting company that was founded in 1995 by the late John R. Dykes, CRA, M.I.M. Having lived and worked in the area south of Calgary, both as a Realtor prior to becoming an appraiser and during his time with Royal LePage Appraisals, John felt that there was the need for a small appraisal firm based in the area. This firm was founded to specialize in the small towns and acreages from Calgary City Limits to Claresholme and from the foothills to Vulcan. With integrity and professionalism, John built the company on the basic premise of 1) expedient service 2) knowledgeable appraisers, and 3) reduced cost to clients. Today his wife, daughter and granddaughter are continuing to build the company from the base. |
Joseph M. Massey, AACI, P.App is the owner of Floen & Sloan Appraisals in Calgary. He is under contract with our firm for Commercial Appraisals requiring the supervisory review of an appraiser with an AACI designation. |
Tanya Jones-Thibodeau, CPPA is also a Fee Appraiser and partner of the company. Having completed the mandatory education and articling requirements, her goal is to attain her CRA designation upon the finalization of a demonstration report and an interview with the board. She assisted her grandfather with the start up of this company whilst completing her training. She now specializes in the residential areas of the rural towns. |
Pamela Dykes-Jones, CRA, CPPA is a Fee Appraiser and partner of the company. She has also started her educational requirements and articling for her AACI designation. She specializes in Acreage, Farm and Ranch, Commercial and Industrial Appraisals. Prior to becoming an Appraiser in 1993, she was an active Realtor for 7 years. In 1995 the Court of Queens Bench in Alberta recognized her as an expert withness for Real Estate Appraisals. |
Joy Dykes is the company's managing partner. Her background is in accounting and office management. Her career started in 1956 with Shell Chemical Company, UK and continued with United Farmers of Alberta. |
