Most Realtors specialize in certain areas, either geographically or by property types. So your best friend just sold her place and Mr. X was her Realtor and he was fabulous!!! So without hesitation you call him up, get your house listed and there you sit. 3 months, 6 months, a year, however long down the road you've had very little activity and even less bites, but the cruncher is that you haven't sold your home. You then find out that Mr. X is an acreage specialist who has very little contact with the residential market. He is a fabulous acreage Realtor and he has statistics to prove it, but he may not have been the specialist you needed for your in town property. Realtors are people and people have individual personalities just like you do. So what happens if you simply don't like the Realtors you have interviewed? At this point you have 2 options. First, we can get together again and see if there are any others that might be better suited personality wise. Because we know many Realtors we can see who there is that might have a different personality from the ones you've tried. Your other option is to consider a 'For Sale by Owner' option. We can assist you in all aspects of selling your home yourself and we will never make you feel any pressure to actually list with our Real Estate division. By no means will we be able to qualify you as a Professional Realtor, but we will give you tools that you may otherwise not have had. Some of the areas we can assist with may include home preparation, marketing and contract negotiations to name a few. Through our consultation division we have access to tons of great information from all aspects of buying and selling homes. From general tips, to information on Home Inspections, to the different financial options available. By using our consultation division to your advantage you too will have access to all of this information. A consultation services can also help you if you are planning on doing any renovations.
